Finally! This is the first collection of songs that are targeting our Stake Dances! We have all been to Stake Dances where we have heard music and lyrics that cross the line of LDS standards. Until now, there have been few options that compete with the regular top 40 music being played in church buildings around the country. And as a bonus, we have added the minus tracks so YOU can sing along…maybe even be the star of your next STAKE dance! Surf around the site for more information on clean music, dance schedules, blogs, photos, and so much more! |

We understand that you want to hear your kind of music at stake dances so we have two features on this website that will help to make each stake dance truly “yours”. First, you can submit the music of your favorite artist to our website…and if it makes the cut...we will transfer it to our approved clean play list. Second, we want to hear you! For real…we want to hear you sing…and if you write music, have a band, or just want to practice your performing skills…contact us and you may be singing at our next stake dance. AND…if you are really good, your song could make it to our next available CD. |

There are so many alternatives to having to play whatever is current in top 40 world. For starters, we have incredible talent among our youth. I would venture to say that this is the most musically talented and savvy generation ever. We should be hearing our youth and their unique voices at our stake dances. We also have incredible artist out there who do not fall in line with the world’s standards. |

In 2008, a group of people who are in charge of putting on dances for the youth in our church took notice of the “music” situation that seemed to keep popping up every weekend. The selection of music was centered around the popular “top 40” playlist that is used in clubs around the world. These are “catchy” songs in every sense of the word. The lyrics, music and even the artist singing is designed to hook us into this culture of music that represents the worlds standards. And the dj’s that are hired to be in charge feel compromised because our kids are the ones requesting this music to be played. When dj’s refuse to play it, often they are criticized for “not playing good” music. |
